Can any huggett fans please tell me if there was ever a film made called 'Bank Holiday', my mum thought it was about a day out with the huggetts on a bank holiday, (not thinking of Holiday Camp have seen that). If not called Bank Holiday does anyone know if the subject matter had a different title

Hello Duchess, welcome to the BritMovie forum.

There was a film called Bank Holiday (1938), but it wasn't one of the Huggetts films.
Kathleen Harrison (Mrs. Huggett) was also in Bank Holiday but there she was playing a character called "May".

The Huggetts first appeared on film in the 'Holiday Camp' (1947).
The family were just one part of the films storyline that following a number of different characters, all staying at the same seaside holiday camp a' la Butlins.
A very enjoyable film and well worth watching.
Also gives an insight into how people used to spend their holidays in the 1940's.

Dave.

Holiday Camp did feature the Huggett family, with Susan Shaw playing a character called Patsy and there was a son Harry Huggett. When the Huggett films were made, Harry Huggett disappeared and Susan Shaw played Susan Huggett. The family reconstructed itself with new family members other than Joe and Ethel.
