help remembering a film

Hi This is the first time I have used this forum, I have been watching the itv drama bon voyage and it reminded me of a film I saw when I was about 16 although it was probably an 18 rating about 1970/71.
It was about a couple of English girls hitch hiking in France and I think one of the girls got murdered, and it turned out that it was the local policeman.
Ithought either judy or sally gleeson were in it but I have checked else where and can't find anything.
Does anyone know the film I mean?
