Default Caine's Teeth

One of the contributing factors to the repulse of the Zulus at Rorke's Drift was undoubtedly the nuclear gleam of Michael Caine's gnashers. Did he have a complete dental make-over before "Zulu" shot him to fame ?
How about a list of memorable celluloid dental work ?

Not sure about Michael then.
I'm sure he's had a complete overhaul in his older age. His mouth seems not to be the right shape for his current gnashers , but I guess that will come to us all one day.

In 1957, a reviewer was quite rude about Patrick McGoohan's teeth:

"McGoohan is destined to be a giant cinema personality. Held here and properly produced, he will make more dollars for Britain than Guinness, canned or bottled. He’s almost all wrong. He has a mouthful of crooked blue-white teeth. Hollywood, notorious for directed dentistry would give them up at a glance – rightly. They are part of his charm........... Physically he is Heston, Douglas and Lancaster rolled into one. Women picturegoers, I believe, will find him terrifying and irresistible. Properly produced he will be BIG Box Office.”

Maybe he got them done before the film? It was after all his first major picture. Or perhaps the make up artists used crude techniques in those days like tippex

Was Jonathan Ross' description of Burt Lancaster something like "having too many teeth for a human mouth to have"?

I noticed that Dennis Waterman seems to have had a new full set of false gnashers installed.
In the latest television series of 'New Tricks' the teeth plates are quite noticable and give Dennis's face features a different look and at times also affects his manner of speach.

Dave.
