I was asked a question in a pub the other day but I dont think there is an answer.

Name an actor or actress that has appeared in 3 film trioligies eg all three star wars and all three indiana jones and an all three other ( I thought Harrison Ford was an answer but he has only appeared in two methinks)

Is there an answer?

I doubt it's anyone as obvious as that.
I think the first thing you should do is to list a lot of trilogies
I'll start you off with:
Star Wars (more than 3)
Indiana Jones
The Godfather
Lord of the Rings
The Matrix
Mad Max
The Omen
Scream
(various other series of horror films)

There are a lot, especially if you start getting into the lesser known ones.

Creature From The Black Lagoon (I was going to list "Nestor Paiva" as the quizzes' answer, but I understand his untimely death in 1966 prevented his acceptance of both the Luke Skywalker and Indiana Jones roles. Darn. "Hell hath no fury like Death scorned..."

Or something like that.

(And absolutely no thanks to Jeff on this, whose forced me into watching Creature films this weekend. I wish Mr Smartypants would keep up the popcorn supply.)

Depends what you call a trilogy. Christopher Lee is in THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY (I take it he's in the extended version of part 3?), THE THREE MUSKETEERS, FOUR MUSKETEERS and RETURN OF THE MUSKETEERS, and (damnit!) only two parts of STAR WARS, II and III. And a whole bunch of DRACULA and FU MANCHU films.

I would agree with Christopher Lee ,playing the same character in many films not always so-called trilogies.Im sure he also played Sherlock Holmes in more than three films along with many Lords,Sirs,Professor,Counts and Doctors.
A fine and distinguished actor.

I think thats a very good answer. Wilkepedia lists a large number of trilogies which would take hours to go through all the casts, Harrison Ford was close with Star wars, Indiana Jones and Patriot games but just made 1 sequel.
How about Clint eastwood? Dirty Harry, (but more than 3) Few Dollars More etc, Did he just make one of "Any which way but loose" with the ape?

Christopher Lee played Sherlock Holmes in three films (two were for tv does that count?) he played Mycroft Holmes in 'The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes'.
