Hi all from a newbie. Hoping some one can put my mind to rest.

The 1972 film Don't Look Now...I saw it at the cinema way back, and I've managed to get a copy...but...the copy I have stars Julie Christie & Donald Sutherland. I'm sure that when I saw it at the cinema years ago it was Julie Christie & Robert Powell. Are there 2 versons of this film...or are the old brain cells failing on me?

Hi Henna and welcome to the forum!I'm afraid the old brain cells are failing a little because the film most certainly stars Mr Sutherland and Ms Christie! I'm just trying to work out what film you might have confused it with but haven't come up with anything yet! Oh! and don't worry about the brain cells a-failing, it happens an awful lot to most of us on here. :) Regards, Decks.

Come to think of it I don't think Ms Christie and Mr Powell have worked together.....can anyone confirm this? Regards, Decks.

Thanks Deck, I can stop searching for the Robert Powell version now...lol! Damn these brain cells!

Don't Look Now was the scariest film I saw as a teenager, it stuck in my head...just with the wrong actor.

    Well I know know...thanks Deck, you're a star.

    Hello Henna, welcome.

The Internet Movie Database can be your friend for that sort of query.

Look up Don't Look Now and it'll tell you about all versions of films with that title.

Look up Julie Christie and it'll say which films she's been in. Down the bottom of the page about every person there is a box to enter another person's name then you can see if they've ever worked together and if so, what in.

Didn't Donald Sutherland sport a similar dodgy perm as Robert Powell For "DON'T LOOK Now"?.

I think you're mixing up Robert Powell's dodgy perm in an Aussie supernatural film ''Harlequin''...I'm guessing, unassisted by my film book library, but I think that far inferior film was made in 1979? by Lew Grade's ITC, and all I can remember of it is something to do with a bath. Again, water imagery like Venice in Don't Look Now (actually 1973 I think you'll find).....aaahhhh, dear Nic Roeg, give us just one more film of the quality of that, or Walkabout. [Now I'm off to check how far wide of the mark I was on that Harlequin film's details on google or some-such! Goodnight ]
