Stupid Question About "the Quiller Memorandum"

hi all,



I was half asleep when I watched this late last night, yet I enjoyed it very much.

I may have missed a couple of things





Three questions



At the end, when all the "old Germans" have been caught, Quiller goes to the school where he met Inga...



1) Was she "one of them"? I wondered this when they kept her hostage, and even thought she might have been part of their operation... trying to trap him...

Did he realise this... and let it pass because they had fallen in love?





2) Was it co-incidence that he met her in the first place.. and she happened to know someone who knew something about the old German operation...

Was there something in the information given to him in the bar at the beginning of the film?



3) What actually was the "Quiller memorandum"?

Hi Solar - one of my all time fave films!



Inge was part of the Neo-Nazi organisation, and as a consequence wasn't actually held captive at all, it was just a ruse to try and persuade Quiller to reveal MI6's headquarters and to tell them how much he knew about their operation. This is somewhat tenuous - there was little reason to keeping Quiller alive once he was captured and had seen everyone's faces!



It was no coincidence that Quiller met Inge - he had a lead that the school where she was a teacher was habouring Neo-Nazis - the headmistress was one as was the person who Inge replaced when he was outed in a newspaper article.



As far as the name "The Quiller Memorandum" - I think it was answered in Adam Hall's book but it is 15 years since I read it so I just can't remember!

Good film - my mistake was to watch it half cut - couldnt understand what the hell was going on
