Watching The Ladykillers yesterday,the portrait of Mrs Wilberforce's husband,lost in the China Sea - was it of Alec Guinness in Kind Hearts and Coronets?

Can't help you with that one Marky B but in Too Many Crooks wasn't there a portrait of Terry Thomas above his bed which begs the question was does happen to those unique props.

The picture of Hyde's wife on the stairs in The League of Gentlemen (1959) that he looked at and said he wished she was dead - was the same portrait of Deborah Kerr that Clive Candy had hanging in his trophy room in The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1943)
