Default Michael Caine's early appearances

Apparently, Michael Caine appeared in 'Ice Cold In Alex' and a bit later in @Wrong Arm of the Law'. Can anyone tell me where he appears in these films, because I've looked for him and have failed to spot him! Thanks!

He was the fifteenth grain of sand in Ice Cold! You should be able to spot him easily.

Even his "official" website doesn't give anything away, other than that he had a "bit part".

If it's of any interest, he also had a "bit part" in "The Day The Earth Caught Fire" (1961), where he played a police officer. I think his part only lasted all of a minute!

He can be seen (and heard) quite clearly directing traffic in the fog.

Bats.

Happy Birthday Daddy .... I love you!

His first film. I have just acquired a dvd of this and am really looking forward to watching it. What a cast ...

Stanley Baker, Harry Andrews, Stephen Boyd, George Baker, Robert Shaw, Percy Herbert, Ronald Lewis - fantastic!

I hope the film is good 'cos I have never seen it.

Maybe he was that Afrika Korps chappie with the oddly familiar accent.....

Or, was he the one who shouted out, just before the bloody truck rolled all the bloody way down that bloody hill, "Hang on a minute lads, I've got a great idea!"

Wasn't he also a technical advisor on this film? He was in the army during the Korean war and use this experience in his advisory capacity.

Start every day with a smile and get it over with.

Yes, but they never took his advice.

Against Caine's advice they:

- Bunched the troops too closely together when advancing so they could get them all in camera.

- Let George Baker go into battle wearing his officer's hat and badges making him a prime target.

He kept quiet about the fact that the Portugal location was nothing like Korea.

He also had a bit part in one of the Norman Wisdom films and Passport to Shame starring Diana Dors.

Aitch,
That's right .... Ollie was a teddy boy who duffed up Norman, Michael Caine was one of the sailors who rescued him.

Caine tells a good story of when he did Hamlet live on TV the late 50s, he was due to exit but couldn't remember where the door was, he panicked and went out of the window instead!

Bats.

Happy Birthday Daddy .... I love you!
