Don't know the answer to your query, but here's an interesting bit of trivia:

The chap who plays the Dean at the beginning of the movie (he's talking to Kenneth Williams just before Elke Sommer runs her Mini into his caravan) - I'm sure I spotted him as an extra in Amicus's From Beyond the Grave (1973). He was coming down the steps while Ian Bannen and Donald Pleasance were talking on the street. Anyone confirm or deny that, or am I the first ever to spot it?

(Although now I've just looked him up on IMDB, I see the actor is Donald Hewlett, who apparently had been doing credited speaking parts for years before From Beyond the Grave. So maybe my eyes deceived me!)

Donal Hewlett is well known for Perry/Croft sitcoms such as "It aint half hot mum" and "You Rang Me Lord".

As for the registration number of the mini guess the simplest answer is to watch the film

He also starred in the radio comedy It Sticks Out Half a Mile (the sequel to Dad's Army) with Michael Knowles (who co-wrote it).

Nine-Nine cars....maybe worth a show; they'll still around. Used to be based out of Elstree Studios.
