Anyone remember Joan Francis (or her husband Geoff Reid) or have any information about them? Joan was an occasional member of the cast in the early days of Coronation Street playing Dot Greenhalsh, friend of Elsie Tanner and fellow worker at Miami Modes.
They had a son called David and Joan's mother was called Olive.
I know Joan died some years ago. By a strange quirk of fate I bought a copy of The Guardian, a newspaper I never read, and there was an obituary for Joan.

Many thanks for the message. Having the correct spelling for "reed" and "Greenhalgh" made a big difference.
Geoffrey Reed always seemed to be in work and there is considerable evidence of this. He was in all the best remembered programmes of the 1960's and 1970's such as "The Avengers" and "The Prisoner".
I learned much more about Joan from an obituary in The Independent and managed to find a photograph of her with Pat Pheonix. We knew them in the 1960's and listened to many many tales about the then stars of Coronation Street and indeed met many of them. The actress who played Lucille Hewitt was my favourite.
Thanks again
