    Yes, but with wooden surrounds Steve, not steel, I think Notting Hill gate was a one off when it was rebuilt circa 1960, installing a wooden escalator but flanked with steel, after that it was steel and steel, though of course there was still much wood and wood, I believe there's only one wooden escalator still in use at Greenford, not so much of a fire hazard being outside.

    Westbourne Park tube station is one of the locations in the video for Boris Gardiner's 1986 No.1:


    Do you recognise any other places? What about the park?

    This record came to mind only because his much earlier hit Elizabethan Reggae features in a post I'm working on at the moment.
