I watched Funny Girl again last wek ( I know you are shocked) and it reminded me Anne Francis has a quite insignifigant part. Did she have a song or a sub plot dropped in transfer from the theatre version ?

She had a solid supporting role in the film but most of her footage was cut in post-production at the behest of the star, Barbra Streisand. When I met Ms. Francis back in the late 80s, it was still a very sore subject for her. I wonder if the footage survives.

Speaking of Babs, I recently acquired a Playbill 1965 Funny Girl from a thrift store - right where it says Who's Who in the Cast under the star's name it says, "For more personal information write to her mother."
