I seem to remember a Zone or Limit where a guy could stop time...it ended with an Atom Bomb suspended in air just about to hit the ground. If he continued the world would end but in stopping it, everything froze. I have all the Outer Limits and Zones (B/W versions) on DVD but can't find this story...It's not 'A Kind Of Stopwatch'. Can anyone help...It's driving me crazy and am beginning to think my mind made it up!

I recall the episode of OL called The Premonition where time freezes when a test pilot crashes his plane. No bombs in that one though IIRC.

Sounds a bit like Arthur C. Clarke's short story All The Time In The World, which was televised in 1952:

"Tales of Tomorrow" All the Time in the World (1952)

There was a new Outer Limits colour episode where a women had a stop watch which stopped time so she could have peace from the kids etc

she hears on the radio about a nuclear attack so she stops the watch which stops time she goes outside to see a missile stopped in mid air so she is now trapped in this frozen world

This episode still exists and is available online. The female alien has given her human assistant a bracelet/watch which can stop time - people are frozen like statues. At the end - and just before she leaves Earth - she tells him that a hydrogen bomb is about to go off, so that he has the choice of saving the planet but being alone for the rest of his life, or letting destiny take its course. You don't see the bomb - just him in a building trying to decide what to do. It finishes there.

It was of course filmed in black and white.

I think DocRobertPepper might be on the right track...although I thought it was one of the original B/W Outer Limits(or Zones)...I will spin through the color series...Thanks for all your suggestions.

DocRobertPepper is absolutely correct. "A Little Peace and Quiet" is from the 80s TZ and is a remake (of sorts) of the classic TZ episode "A Kind of Stopwatch." Melinda Dillon played the housewife who could freeze time.

The 80s TZ was mostly a disappointment imo, but they did come up with occassional gems like "Her Pilgrim Soul," "Nightcrawlers" and "Paladin of the Lost Hour."

Dont remember the scene of the nuke above the movie theatre. I remember the main character walking out of a supermarket type place, and there suspended in the air about 12 feet off the ground is a Russian ICBM
