Let's remember it's what a person is like on the inside that really counts, so my vote for Carmel would be because she is a very caring person.

Yes, he was indeed South African of British descent.

I got the impression that he worked very, very hard to "make good" in the UK in the early days. Thank God he did! "Old Pruneface" added sooooo much to our enjoyment!

Every time I watch a film and Sid makes an unexpected appearance (as a barman or a driver etc) my enjoyment of the film immediately increases. Sid was a true star and a real character.

Not surprising as the reason it was made is that Peter Rogers said he could make a version of Cleopatra in the time it took them to set up a scene in the original.

The carry on films have been aired on the telly here in Canada, not all of them. I have seen them in some of the major shops such as HMV. They could be purchased on the internet or try Movies unlimited.

I have a box set of carry on films, most of them are the early black and white films but the reason i actually got the boxset was because carry on screaming was in it,i love the slapstick humour in this film also because it reminds me of the great hammer horror films

Carry On's Margaret Nolan also talks about the risible payments in her new interview. She's not very kind to the forces behind the films either.
