Default A Prize of Arms - misleading credits?

Thoroughly enjoyed watching this last night - one I'd somehow missed over the years.

I was amused by the DVD front and back cover, however. On the front, above the title were, Stanley Baker, Tom Bell, Patrick Magee, Rodney Bewes & Fulton Mackay. On the back, these names was re-stated as "Starring".

Well, of course Baker & Bell were two out of the three stars. But Magee merely played a cameo role of an RSM, barking out orders occasionally; Bewes had one line in a ten-second appearance, and I failed to spot dear old Fulton completely.

It makes you wonder if the DVD producers didn't simply look down the cast list for well-known British actors and hoped they had big roles!

When Michael Caine appeared in "Zulu" he was billed as "introducing" which indicated his first major film role, yet on the DVD cover he is billed as "Starring Michael Caine" with his name above Bakers!... Fulton Mackay, Bewes etc have become more or less houshold names in the same way that Caine has since, so I would say that is why their status is decribed in present terms, perhaps not big stars when the film came out but recognisable names now that can help sell a DVD!.....
