Default Sweeney 2009
I see that a film version of the hit 70's UK TV series The Sweeney is currently in pre-production. The movie is due to be released in 2009.

Ray Winstone has already been cast to play Jack Regan.

I can hardly wait.

Though with the Flying Squad now disbanded, is the Movie gonna be set 'then' or 'now'?

There's not many mark one Ford Granada's left these days!!

It will have to be a 'then' a la Life on Mars (which must surely be the motivation for this revival) as I would imagine a Jack Regan type wouldn't last very long in today's force.
