Hi all,
I bought both Sweeney films from Amazon for a fiver which was a steal.

I am going to buy the complete Sweeney next month.

Does anybody know if the T V pilot show has been released?

The pilot, Regan, was released by Network some time ago. Not sure if it is part of the box set.

Understand that Network are planning a blu ray release of the entire series (which may include the pilot) so if thats your thing then may be best to wait.

If it's this version http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Sweeney-...5617559&sr=1-1, then the pilot isn't included, but has been released separately. I bought this in an earlier format (when it was broken up into series), it's been digitally remastered and looks a treat (there's a feature on this which compares scenes before and after, quite an amazing improvement).

I had the complete Sweeney box set back in New Zealand and it was packed - along with all of my other DVDs - in a large, securely sealed box of stuff I sent over by sea when I came back to the UK a few years ago.

The box went missing and all the shipping people offered me was lousy NZD180 minimum compo, even though it was insured for NZD5,000, as they 'couldn't find their paperwork for it'. My paperwork counted for nothing, they claimed, as it had never been registered on their system. Clearly, they just expected me to suck it up as I was no longer in NZ.

Not really relevant but I wanted to whinge about it to someone.
