The Aviator, not a british film but as Scorsese likes P & P, I will give it a whirl

I like it, I think it is a really good film. Marius Goring is superb.

Not one of their very best, top rate films. But a second rate film by Powell & Pressburger is still one that most people would give their eye teeth to have made

Competent performances from all concerned, some nice little touches.

But their biggest problem (with this and with The Battle of the River Plate) was that they're both based on true stories and those true stories were so amazing that there wasn't really too much they could add to give it the "P&P magic"

ITV London

Suggs is doing his look at some of London's stranger buildings again.
It's a repeat of an earlier series but it's very well done and is well worth watching

Steve

Disappearing London
On: ITV1 London
Date: Thursday 24th April 2008
Time: 19:30 to 20:00

Series in which Suggs, lead singer of Madness, searches out the people and places that give London its quirky appeal and charm, and discovers why they may not be around for much longer. Suggs meets Stephen Fry at one of the city's oldest tobacconists, has a flutter on the dogs at one of the few remaining racetracks, and sails down the Thames on an old-school barge.

Watch carefully as they walk out of the operating theatre back into the ante-room where June is waiting
