Isn't Quartet the first? They're all quite good but there's only really enough material for one and a half first-rate films as several of the stories are a bit duff. The two Nigel Patrick ones are good though.

The Verger is superb, but agree about Nigel Patrick.

I like the Verger and the Kite and the Facts of Life as well as the Nigel Patricks but I could manage without the Glynis Johns diving one and the Alien Corn (which really makes no sense with the Jewishness of the family cut out) and the Sanatorium concentrates on the wrong people. I think The Colonel's Lady is my favourite - first rate performances from all concerned.

The Waltz of the Torreadors - an anglicised version of the Anouilh play with an interesting cast.

That's the joke that killed the Music Hall

Revealed - Last of The Dambusters

On Five
Tuesday 17th June 2008 (tonight)
20:00 to 21:00

Historical documentary focusing on the famous Second World War Dambusters raid. George Johnson - a bomb aimer in one of the raid's Lancasters and one of only two British Dambusters alive today - sets off on a final mission to rediscover his past. He finds and digs up his old Dambuster bomber, before travelling back to the giant German dams that he once attacked.

As my Hammer 'Icons of Adventure' DVD has arrived I shall be watching one of them.

It features The Stranglers of Bombay, Terror of the Tongs, The Pirates of Blood River and Devil Ship Pirates all with various extras.

Thrilling times ahead.
