I've never seen this one before, but it comes highly recommended.
I will add to that recommendation ... a high point for all concerned.

Proper food

I'm going to have a peek at Harley Street; I quite like the look of the cast

Two waiting for me this weekend:

The Fallen Idol

I have not seen that one yet. I'm looking forward to it.

And - The Brando/Howard Mutiny on the Bounty, as per Bat's suggestion. I haven't seen it since my impressionable adolescence.

I doubt that I will get to both this weekend. What I want to watch is not always what the family wants to watch, and vice versa. (Tales of Hoffman always guarantees an empty living room (except for me) - and preliminary attempts to steal the clicker. )

The Fallen Idol comes first...

I hope you enjoy MOTB Tim (says he, fingers crossed).

I will be watching The Sniper with Adolphe Menjou. I have not seen this before so I am looking forward to it.

I have heard many good things about it. I have seen many classic British films, but there are plenty of gaps remaining: I never got around to seeing this and The Rocking Horse Winner until now.

Also on my not-yet-seen list: Laughter in Paradise and The Magic Box.

When I was fifteen, my idea of a hero was Clark Gable or Errol Flynn or Steve McQueen. That hasn't entirely changed, but I'm more broad minded now.

Episode 4 of PD James: The Black Tower ITV3 – last night’s episode was shown without any advert breaks at all – and so ran for the correct runtime of 48 minutes - must be a record for ITV3

Mrs Emma Peel
