Don't you speak sign language?
Watch the DVD instead. There are quite a few good ones.

I think I might watch the tv series, From Here to Eternity starring Natalie Wood and a bunch of other people!

It took a while getting it off VHS and putting onto DVD after some colour correction, so it must be time to watch it again since I first saw it about thirty one years ago.

Well, if you told them I designed it, d'you think that might help?

Mr. Mom (1983)

I'm going to watch this in a minute.

I have a bit of a penchant for light American eighties comedies and this one was great - some very good lines and actually, tackling a issue that is just as hotly debated now as it was then..and likely will always be.. but so lightheartedly you don't realise some of the points it is making and it doesn't detract from the humour...surely the best way to get any ideas across.

It might seem vaguely insulting to suggest that men cannot get their acts together to stay at home and look after the kids and in the first half the humour mainly stems from this.

I know there are many very good fathers out there - but there are still many areas of this that are way up in the air and discussed today. But it tackles this issue head on and all the relevant points along the way - how social conditioning, the need to feel macho etc..can all affect this.. without ever being heavy handed.

Anyway - I have been bought some posh biscuits and I have some posh tea, so whilst my daughter is rampaging at my friends house..I'm going to give it another go and I expect it will work like a kind of mini therapy if memory serves!

Yes, it's on Living +1

TCM is showing his films all this week, and Hud was on tonight along with several others.

One of the greats - a fine actor and a fine man. Every time one of his films was released, it was an event.

Hud is probably his best performance, but it's a difficult call.

I remember when this was released. It was a great success - a "sleeper" - and I would agree that the humor was taken as harmless and not insulting at all. In fact, it is realistic in its own way.

Tomorrow it will be The Amazing Mr. Blunden.

After looking for it for years, I finally found an old used copy of the video.
