I am sure that rule has since been broken, so Barbara Windsor is a possability on the Carry On stamps! Start every day with a smile and get it over with.

Stamps for Carry On and Hammer Films

Dear Friends

Please note that Royal Mail will issue six stamps commemorating Carry On and Hammer Films on 10 June. This marks the 50th birthday of Carry On and the 50th birthday of Hammer's Dracula. The specific movies honoured are: Carry On Sergeant, Carry On Cleo; Carry On Screaming and The Curse of Frankenstein (1957), Dracula (1958) and The Mummy (1959). Very fine screen printing permits all text to be legible on the postage stamps! For a sneak preview go to www.royalmail.com/info. Alternatively visit www.royalmail.com/stamps from approx 7 June.
