I really want to see Hell Is A City. Val Guest never messed about.
I love Stanley Baker's films and I'm glad he was knighted before he died. It's interesting to note that Baker played policeman earlier in Dearden's Violent Playground and Losey's Blind Date. Has anyone seen these two ] 50's Baker films (british of course)? And is it me or does The Sands Of The Kalahari kick ass bigtime.? He's great in The Good Die Young (dodgy hand), Helldrivers (dodgy driving), and Robbery (dodgy getaway). He's made some seriously wicked gritty british films and he'll always be remembered.

"HELL IS A CITY" now your talking. Great! B/W, 1959 and "A HAMMER FILM PRODUCTION". I love this film. Brough a copy in the WB Classic Thrillers Series. Then a few years ago it was on BBC2 late night in widescreen. So burke that I'am taped over my copy and of course missed the titles at the beginning but its still great.
