This HAS been recently released on UK DVD, and is part of the JOHN MILLS COLLECTION
(from Optimum?) .....

You should also be able to rent this film individually in the UK
if you do not want the buy the DVD set....

I have fond memories of this film. I remember seeing it the first time with my parents and enjoying it so much, my grandmother then took me to see it again a few days later. I was probably about 8 or 9 at the time.

Thanks for raising the aspect ratio issue.

I rather think that, when I posed the question (over three years ago!), the IMDb didn't mention 1.37:1 but just said 35mm.
