The Gift Horse and enjoy a drink with Trevor Howard and Bernard Lee, 2 of the biggest boozers you could meet. James Donald and Dickie for quiet conversation and Sonny Tufts as protection also Dora Bryan for flirtatious chat.

This thread is too long, and I haven't kept up.

Has anyone done The Escape to Victory Website

Footy with a some top men!

And who'd have believed Sly could play footy at all!

It's easier when you're playing against actors who get out of your way and when you can do 20 retakes of every shot. Note the number of different shots and camera angles when he's dribbling

I don't think you should make too much of his dribbling. Any person with a speech impediment deriving from the physical irregularity of the way his mouth works....... who can still become a huge movie star, with no help from the nanny states........ deserves nothing but praise and admiration in my book.

Sly bet Pele that he could save at least one of his penalties, Pele won

Moor in Ashes to Ashes they made reference to Escape to Victory. However, according to my investigation. Charles & Di got married on 29th July and the film came out on 30th July. (If you watched ashes you would know what I mean) So did they get that bit wrong??

So they did. I smiled wryly to myself when he mentioned Escape, I must admit.... .

If you what you say is true, and no dobt it is, then clearly the writers cocked it up from a historical perspective...

No wronger than a copper driving an Audi Quattro though.....

Or a D.I. dressing like someone from CSI Miami in 2007!! Who would have thought that within ten years of DI Drake (great niece of John d'yathink ?) we'd have:

I'm not scratching this baby....
