Default Best cast that you could have fun with

Ever, in my mind would be for the League of Gentlemen. Can you imagine the fun they must have had on and off the set. Can you imagine a few beers with Hawkins,Attenborough,Patrick,Moore,Bird,Alexander, Livesey and Forbsey. And then Robert Coote walks in!!! are we going on somewhere??

A huge dinner party combining the casts of Jassy and Holiday Camp. Then afterwards I would sneak off with Patricia Roc and Susan Shaw.

Bats.

The cast of Death on the Nile would be a splendid mix - Peter Ustinov, David Niven, Bette Davis, Angela Lansbury, Maggie Smith, Harry Andrews, George Kennedy and of course Olivia Hussey and Jane Birkin.

As would Theatre of Blood - lots of anecdotes there I'd imagine and the chance to chat to Dennis and Vincent Price!

But the cast I would have most fun with? Easy... Tommy - Ollie Reed and The Who. How did the Home Counties survive it in 74?

And of course there's also Ken Russell, Ann-Margret, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Jack Nicholson to be going along with too.

If I chose The Clouded Yellow I could go off on a bender with Trevor Howard and Max! Not to mention the lovely Jean Simmons to accompany us.

The Wrong Box. Sitting in a pub with Sellers, Hancock, Caine, Pete n Dud, Rossiter and old hands like Sir Ralph and Sir John would have held me truly in awe.

I remember Terence Stamp said that he once saw Wilfred Lawson on a train and asked him if he had any advice for a struggling young actor like himself.

"Yes," he said, "learn the lines."

All the actors who played Bond in Brocolli series with some of the Bond girls. A few beers and a barbeque in the Caribbean.

From stories I have been told, Roger Moore was a demon drinker a film equivalant of Bobby Moore. Last one to bed and first up.

Those Brits who had an English cricket team in Hollywood in the thirties: C Aubrey Smith, David Niven, Herbert Marshall, Ronald Colman, plus Eric Blore (not I think a cricketer) and (Canadian) Raymond Massey. I feel the Prisoner of Zenda OUGHT to have been a British film. It even had Madeleine Carroll... But please may I have Jack Buchanan too?

"I've come a long way you know!" "Equally long way to go back..."

David Niven and Peter Ustinov. With those two great raconteurs anyone else would be just for decoration as they wouldn't get an edge in wordwise. But we'd have to arrange some way to get them to take turns telling their stories
