Personally I preferred 'When Eight Bells Toll' with Anthony Hopkins. The script was actually adapted by MacLean himself, and while this is certainly not always a good sign, it works very well here and it is clear that he fully understands the requirements of adapting a book to the screen, unlike some writers.
There is a rather good and nicely priced UK DVD released without much flair a couple of years back by Carlton. To anyone who enjoyed 'Fear is the Key' then I would certainly recommend this. |
