I remember seeing The Werewolf Of London on ITV in the 60s. As far as I know, it's never been repeated.

. . . and new thumbscrews for me . . .

1987 on BBC1 at 11.30pm to be precise.

How do I know this ?

I have a Betamax recording (there were times when I wrote the time and date and channel too ) so that tells you how long it has not been on since then.

Thanks for that little bit of history !

It's always nice when you come across little incidents like this and 'meet up' with someone who was watching exactly the same screening...

Sometimes I'll deliberately watch something 'good' on transmission, even though I have it on DVD to watch anytime, as I liike to think that somewhere out there someone is discovering this film/TV for the first time and perhaps thinking 'Wow!' just like I have done many years before.

I saw this a while back (not on tv) and it doesn't really stand up anymore. Nothing much really happens in it. Karen Black is quite good tho', so is Ollie as ever.

Trilogy of terror is better, which also hasn't seen the light of day for a whille.

The flesh and the fiends starring Peter cushing hasn't been on our televisions for a long time also the Skull. Trilogy of terror Starring Karen Black wasn't as good as i remembered it as a child and it took me a long time to find it on DVD as well.

Live each day to the full because one day it will be your last.

I'd love to see The Skull again, if only for the musical score by Elizabeth Lutyens. They broadcast a concert version on Radio 3 a month or two ago. Now I want to see the film again to see how the music fitted in.

I popped an edit of this on Youtube as on another forum comparisons had been drawn with the 'tree' scene in Poltergeist.

Yes The Skull has been absent as are
Curse of the Black Widow(late 70s)
And Now The Screaming Starts
Paranoiac
The Beast Must die
Night of the Lepus
Shadow of Chikara
Quite a few were from the BBC2 Horror double bills
Inseminoid was forgotten on TV until it had its uk premiere after 25 years

I hear the Union Jack still remains.I see Namijira in custody
and I see Truganini's in chains.

The Skull was on stage6...just had a look for it but it is now gone, as indeed the whole shebang will be in about 3 hours' time... so get in quick before the sun sets..

A great place to pick up the odd gem not shown for many a year.

As far as I'm aware the Jose Larraz English horror movie Vampyres (1974) has never been shown on UK television:

Marianne Morris... FranAnulka Dziubinska... Miriam (as Anulka)Murray Brown... TedBrian Deacon... JohnSally Faulkner... HarrietMichael Byrne... PlayboyKarl Lanchbury... RupertMargaret Heald... ReceptionistGerald Case... Estate AgentBessie Love... American LadyElliott Sullivan... American Man

Very tame sort of horror in a Hammer sort of way.
