Makes one wonder what type of persons are in charge of TV programming schedules these days. I'll bet nine-tenths of them have not heard of nine-tenths of the films we have mentioned.
Every channel which shows films should have a person who knows the current trends and fashions etc. and an older person working alongside to re-show "forgotten" films. Just an idea which came to my head... -- Another thought - British TV could show a lot more Euro-Horrors as well. I'm not too "up" on this thing, but HAVE heard of Argento, Bava.... well, that's about it... can't think of any more. I've left out Jess Franco because everything I've seen of his has either been poor or eccentically viewable in a laughable sort of way. |

While not a horror film as such, but certainly qualifying as dark suspense is 'And Soon the Darkness' (1970).
I imagine this has been shown on Sky, but cannot remember a "main channel" showing in many years. I can't put my finger on why I like this film so much, but I do. Hitchcock rated it highly I think. Back in the 70s, this was a film which would have been shown on BBC1 at 9.25pm. |

A really excellent piece of work and probably my favourite film from the Brian Clemens/Albert Fennell team. |
