'The Haunting' hasn't been on in a while. A lesson to Hollywood on how to make suspenseful cinema.

Would that be the 1963 MGM/US production directed by Hollywood veteran Robert Wise.

Ah! Erm....Well done! I was wondering who would be the first to spot that deliberate error.

In some mitigation, with that sentiment I was actually thinking of 'Night Of The Demon.'

NOTD .... another great film, totally British apart from being directed by a Frenchman!

One Robert Powell (semi-horror) film I have not seen in years (and which might be quite an obscure film) is 'Secrets of the Phantom Caverns'. Don't know if this has ever been shown on TV.

Ah, I've just looked it up on IMDB and it is also known as 'What Waits Below'. Wouldn't mind seeing it again, just to confirm if it really was as poor as I remember.

NOTD -- Jacques Tourneur was born in America and made nearly all his films there, apart from NOTD, and The Giant of Marathon, made in Italy. But NOTD can be considered a joint US-UK venture.
