Default Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush
As a new member of this forum, just thought I'd mention that the Classic 68 Movie starring Barry Evans and Judy Geeson(WoW), Here we go round the mulberry bush is a personal fav of mine. It makes a clear statement of what it was like growing up in this era, free love, the music, the whole scene.
I recently completed a film project of filming all the locations used in the film, and how they look today. Details of this and future stuff related to Mulberry Bush can be found on my web site www.simplymagic.freeserve.co.uk (hope Im allowed to mention it!), Im looking for any contributions for the web and am willing to answer any questions about it (I live in Stevenage, by the way) where the film was made.

Barry Evans tragically died under suspicious circumstances in 1997. His last known job was a taxi driver. His successor in the Doctors series,Robin Nedwell died two years later.

Well I never knew that Robin Nedwell Died. Thanks for that piece of info. I already have plenty of material (including the coroners report) of Barry Evans death.

Yes,Robin Nedwell died of natural causes - heart attack if I remember correctly.

I heard somewhere that the 'old' new town of Stevenage was under threat of redevelopment and 'modernising' within the next 3-5 years ? Do you know if that's true Marky ?

Damn shame if it is ! :mad:

That's right. The whole town centre is to be "modernised", which is a shame as many of the landmarks used in the Mulberry bush movie will be destroyed.
The locations used however are preserved on the DVD of the film, as featured in the documentary "Now and Then".

Just for the record Marky,Robin Nedwell fell off the roof of his parents home while working on the tv antenna.
He was taken to the local doctors & while there suffered his heart attack.
Sad ending for both "Doctors".
