Another film which I enjoy is The Spy Killers from 1969 there's a scene where Robert Horton who plays John Smith, visits Igor Barat played by Lee Montage they have meeting on a golf course, Lee Montague is playing Golf and can't putt the shot so he decides to kick the ball instead.

Here is a tricky question for all you Bond fans out there, which Bond film apart from "Goldfinger" features a memorable golf scene?

Bringing Up Baby opens on a golf course, as Katharine Hepburn takes over Cary Grant's life - starting with his golf game.

Hereafter, in a better world than this,
I shall desire more love and knowledge of you

Yep, but there is another Bond film that I had in mind! I'll give you half a point for naming Diamonds and another half a point for the other.

There is not much that gets past bats, or Mr. Crook or many others on this board.

Yes indeed. It's like taking a course in film.

Default Golf Films

PAT AND MIKE was the Tracy-Hepburn picture about golf which was directed by George Cukor. The film also featured the celebrated woman golfer, 'Babe" Zaharias. A film called BABE, about Zaharias, who died very young from cancer, was made in 1975 with Susan Clark. Glenn Ford starred in FOLLOW THE SUN, a bio-pic of the great golfer, Ben Hogan. None of these were British, of course!

I heard a joke about a week ago; it could have been on one of the 'which decade was the greatest for TV comedy?' shows. Can anybody remember who said, when asked, "Do you spend much time on the golf course?", replied, "Not during the day."
