I should add that there is nothing wrong with the song,"Mrs Brown You've Got A Lovely Daugerter." by actor Trevor Peacock.

Is Fiddler On The Roof British? Made over here, yes, but I wouldn't class it as British.

Yes, we've been through that one before.

I'd argue not - it was shot at Pinewood (as well as Croatia) but the subject, stars, original material and story content are all not at all British.

In contrast, My Fair Lady - another American musical - is at least from a British play, with a British cast and about a British subject.

All men leak.

And before anyone starts...

Yes, I know GBS was Irish - but he was a British subject born and bred.

He was born in Ireland, in Dublin. But Ireland was part of the UK when he was born there (in 1856). He also moved to London when he was 20 and stayed there for the rest of his life

Though Bowie's Absolute Beginners is one of my favourite songs of his.

Nobody's arguing. Read the posts above.

BUT it definitely has Britishness! Unlike Fiddler.

What constitutes a British film is a hotly contested subject.

All men leak.

I wonder if Brassed Off can be considered - partly at least - to be a musical?

All men leak.
