Default similarities in different films

Sometimes when I have been watching a film a slight case of familiarity has come over me.

The scene in the English Patient where the jeep goes on ahead and is blown up by a mine. and ...
the scene in Ice Cold in Alex where the jeep goes on ahead and explodes(bomb or mine?)

In the Man Who Never Was there is a small scene where the two officers walk/march in sync out of the office, with their back to the camera and all you hear are the sounds of the footsteps in unison and . . . The scene before the interval of Lawrence of Arabia where Jack Hawkins, Anthony Quayle and Claude Raines walk out, back to camera and the sound of footsteps in unison.

And lastly as I have mentioned before, the Italian Job where they use too much dynamite on the doors with "you were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off" and . . . Butch Cassidy where they blow up the carriage "think you used a bit too much dynamite there Butch"

It might only be me, comments good or bad, I don't mind, have been shot down more times than Kenny More!

It could be plagiarism, homage or pure coincidence, but the ending to My Learned Friend (Will Hay hanging from Big Ben) is identical to that of The Thirty Nine Steps starring Robert Powell.
