Bats.
I agree I have most of those too, the print quality of Dilmma is excellent and the sound was fine for my ears. Likewise the rest of the Odeon titles I have got round to viewing so far.

Account Rendered (1957) DVD-R. Another @60 min second feature of which I am enjoying a lot of at present, this one stars Griffith Jones, Ursula Howells and a scrummy Honor Blackman. Decent whodunit with Ewen Solon investigating.

House of Whipcord (1974) R.2 DVD. Laid low with flu I thought I would cheer myself up with this one Quite a nasty little number from Pete Walker, very creepy with Sheila Keith once again stealing the acting honours deranged as usual, running her a close second is Barbara Markham as “Margaret” bearing an uncanny resemblance to Maggie Thatcher, so obviously she is pretty terrifying too. A shame Penny Irving adopts an ‘Allo ‘Allo style French accent which does irritate somewhat, and quite why she would pop off with a chap as creepy as Robert Tayman stretches credibility too, but then that never really enters into films like this does it.

This one surprised me. Finding Neverland which was on BBC2

A joy from start to finish, everyone played their part beautifully and my one regret was I didn't tape it. It has made me want to read Peter Pan with fresh eyes.

A remarkable little film.
Kevin Brownlow wrote a nice book explaining how they made it (on a very limited budget) called How It Happened Here [Secker & Warburg, 1968 & Doubleday, 1968] and there's a documentary called It Happened Here Again (1976) which interviews directors Brownlow and Mollo.

Yangtse Incident starring the inimitable Richard Todd with an excellent supporting turn from William Hartnell.

Bizarre to think it was filmed in Suffolk!

After hearing many great things about it I finally watched my DVD of 'City Of The Dead'... loved it; only wished I had stayed lucid/sober enough to carry out my plan to double-bill it with 'Night Of The Eagle'!

Just finished CH4's early morning screening of the Halas & Batchelor animation of ANIMAL FARM. Made me long for those bygone days of 'proper' animation...

Nowhere To Run (1958) DVD-R. The penultimate Ealing Studios film until the brand was revived this century, and what a splendid one it is. George Nader is excellent in the lead role with fine performances from reliable Bernard Lee and a first major role for Maggie Smith. The direction by Seth Holt is first rate as is the cinematography by Paul Beeson.

Prompted by this month's poll, Hell Is A City (again). Simply a great film.

The modern jazz music score by Dizzy Reece (available on CD...) is worth noting for a 1958 British film

Never Take Sweets from a Stranger (1960) DVD-R. Alas rarely seen Hammer film that deserves a DVD release, well acted especially by Patrick Allen, Gwen Watford and young Janina Faye plus a truly sinister performance by Felix Aylmer. The subject matter of a well to heel child molester in a small Canadian town is very well handled with a gripping finale.
