A Case for PC 49 with Reece is definitely the better for his presence. If he had done the other one as well I think it could have been a real cracker of a B-thriller as the story IMHO is better.

Don't miss out on a chance to win a rare film in Bat-Quiz 13 closing date - 31/8/8.

I can't disagree with that Bats. Latimer's P.C.49 was nothing much like the character I remembered from old hand-me-down copies of the EAGLE Annuals I used to get from our neighbour...

Miss Austen Regrets....at last an Austen biopic that delivers a believable Jane, truly excellent film; still available on BBC iplayer, highly recommended. Excellent cast, too.

Bit of a Bay Window, what??

Wasn't it Hugh Latimer whose daughter didn't have an affair with John Major?

Ooh, ooh! It's on my hard drive but I've got Colin Firth getting nekkid in Hour of the Pig to watch first. Unless it's a naked librarian (you don't get too many of those in films though I'm saying nothing of real life!)

...which rather puts me in mind of the Smirnoff adverts from some time ago:

"I was only a librarian until I discovered .... Smirnoff"

Nancy Pearl - the patron saint of librarians! Don't think I haven't got one (though of course mine is safely in its packaging as I can do the Amazing Shushing Action myself any day of the week). She's the best!

I should have put her in my OOO ... then we would have had Pearl and Dean!

I have resisted the temptation to get one of these .....

Do all male nurses have their arms on back to front?

I'm 15 minutes in to Miss Austen Regrets and there's still no librarian! What's the point of a film without librarians?

I have been watching episodes of Trader Tom of the China Seas. One of Republic's last serials and a pretty good one.
