It was a very good documentary, we'd expect no less from Matthew.
I've never seen Patricia Laffan being interviewed before, she certainly doesn't look 89. Shame about Nicky Henson saying that he thought Psychmania is rubbish. It is, and we all know it is, but he's not supposed to say so

It was great to see Michael Powell's Lazybones just before it as well.

I really enjoyed the Sweet documentary. The clips were good and the 'talking heads' all had something interesting to say. I taped it so I will probably watch it again. I'd not seen Lazybones before and I thought it was really good.

Recorded The Go-Between last night but it started later than billed so I missed the end, plus there's a woman on the bottom right of the screen doing signing for the deaf! RUINED!!!

Not for the genuine deaf people who recorded it it wasn't.
You should spare a thought for them - you too could lose your hearing one day and be grateful for sign language.

I have hearing problems myself.

The Stranglers of Bombay. Not a tribute band to Guildford's finest but an atmospheric Hammer thriller set in India but economically shot in Bray Studios by Terence Fisher.

Guy Rolfe (with the help of his trusty mongoose) investigates a series of mysterious stranglings and uncovers the religious cult responsible. Enormously entertaining stuff with an enjoyable turn from George Pastell as the thugee high priest..

Finished watching "Journey to the Unknown" which even by anthology series standards I found to be a real mixed bag.

Still the final episode I watched " The Last Visitor" was enlived by a young Sally James as a hotel chambermaid !

The Odessa File
Hadn't seen this film for about 15 years. Easy to follow thriller shot partly on location in Germany and at Pinewood Studios although a USA credited film.

I finally got round to the revived St Trinian's; only wish I hadn't. A shallow caper film with little subtlety in the script and over overbearing pop soundtrack. Apart from Everett and Firth, the film appears to be a vehicle for a load of z-list celebrities.

Next will be the follow-up; Miss Fritton's Gold.
