2 Episodes of GEORGE AND THE DRAGON, starring Sid James & Peggy Mount. Both Christmas themed episodes which rounded off season 1 (why do we always watch these things out of season ? )
The Royal Letter ; in which Peggy receives a reply from 'Prince Philip' for her charming Christmas card. Courtesy of Sid, of course !
Merry Christmas ; in which everybody goes off for a wonderful family Christmas, and (of course) all end up, one-by-one back at the Colonel's house.
From a very different world of sit coms, this one always prompts the wife to ask, "But did anything HAPPEN ?" I rest my case on the fact that where today would you have the word, "allegorical" used in a sitcom ? Then Episode One of THE POWER GAME ; 'The New Boy'. I got hooked on this when CH 4 showed it way back in the early 90s. High-powered boardroom drama, still interesting, albeit mostly due to the performance of the late, great Patrick Wymark.
