Courtesy of a fellow forum member watched the Human Jungle episdoe " Over and Out " guest starring Ian Bannen as a test pilot involved in a mystery crash.

Compelling viewing as, IMHO, is the rest of this excellent series.

The Bank Job(2008)
Thought I'd give Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais' Heist movie a whirl and it wasn't at all disappointing.
Better than the usual fare served up within this genre of film. British based with a good cast and first rate acting ,with something that I could relate to a lot more than the glitzy Hollywood equivalent Ocean's Eleven.
Whilst the spirit of the film is more akin to Sexy Beast ( with the noticable absence of the Don Logan Charcter played by Ben Kingsley) it also has lighter hearted references to Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. It is based on a true story. Stars Jason Statham and David Suchet.

Harbottle

Venetian Bird (1952) DVD-R. A terrific thriller directed by Ralph Thomas, who also steered a couple of other favourites of mine The Clouded Yellow (1951) and the much maligned remake of The 39 Steps (1959). The most is made of beautiful Venice location, which helps add atmosphere to an excellent story. Richard Todd is perfect in the lead role as is gorgeous Eva Bartok. Now all I need is a decent recording, my ancient LP VHS does not do this fine film justice Odeon?

One of my favourites there harbottle .... it certainly deserves a dvd release.

I just watched The Adventurer with Gene Barry (high camp nonsense) and an episode from the 1975 series of Public Eye. Marker gets mixed up in the case of a missing wife (played by Stephanie Juliet Bravo Turner). Excellent as usual.
