Blind Corner (1963) DVD-R. This corker from Mancunian Films has a distinct Film Noir quality about it. Starring William Sylvester as a blind composer and Barbara Shelley as his wife, other thesps include Alex Davion and Mark Eden. Contains a nice plot twist which I certainly didn't see coming too which is always nice

Lady Hamilton 1941. Olivier & Leigh ! Top film, good performances &
brilliant (If Brief) sea battle scenes!! A question! The scene where Nelson gets fatally shot, the French sniper looks incredibly like Torin Thatcher. Is it him?? Last edited by wadsy; 05-07-2008 at 08:54 AM.. |

The last part of the Beeb's Criminal Justice.
On the whole pretty good but I doubt that I would have stuck with it had it been transmitted weekly rather than nightly. Always more convincing as a reflection of the vagaries of the system than a whodunnit (which it flirted with at times). |

The Holcroft Covenant (1985) DVD-R. Uninspired Nazi loot balderdash where even the usually reliable Michael Caine is seriously out of sorts. Mind you having to play opposite the toe curlingly awful acting of Victoria Tennant must have been a strain. The church scene where he and Tennant meet must rate as one of the worst ever
