I did, however, get my question answered by Nanette as we had a little chat just before she sat down for afternon tea - it was just a little question about THE RAGING MOON and the ending of the film. Nanette was kind enough to sign my MOON DVD sleeve and then I (a little cheekily) asked if she'd mind getting her hubby to sign it too, as Bryan had already sat down by then - albeit signing other stuff, rather than eating. Nanette was very obliging and asked Bryan if he'd also the sleeve. She wished us a safe journey back home at the end of our little chat; a lovely couple.

I was last man to catch Lord Attenborough before he too sat down to tea, so we didn't speak, but he did sign my ticket. Lady A was already seated and enjoying her sandwiches, so I wasn't about to disturb her.

Later on I (finally) spotted Aitch striding towards me. I greeted him and we had a nice little natter. He told me the reception room used to be his canteen, where you used to get your breakfast for 50p (bet you meant real money Aitch and actually meant 10 bob! ). Aitch then kindly took me across and introduced me to Paul Burton and we had our little photoshoot.

The sort of afternoon none of us will forget in a hurry...

Smudge.

So happy everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great time. Thanks to all for the diary of the afternoon.

The Wrong Box is on tv next week. The RT reviewer says "it is shambolic with slapdash direction" so i suppose she must like it then.

Nice to see you socializing with your old Guvnor Aitch. The two of you look totally different without your armour.

I reckon you were considering whether to use the mind probe on young Mr. Burton there...

Default bryan forbes plaque unveiling

hi everyone

as the organiser of the bryan forbes tribute i am glad those who attended seemed to have enjoyed the event. as we obviously cannot rehearse, etc we can only ever hope for the best !

i have now organised over 20 of these plaque unveilings at elstree since 1996 and they are great fun for me. we have always been well supported by a host of famous names such as olivia de havilland, john mills, richard todd, honor blackman, ralph fiennes, roger moore and many others.

incidentally, anyone interested we are holding our annual elstree film evening at the studio on sat 28 june with film music from the bbc band, film clips, star guests, etc and a free 80 years of elstree dvd all for just £10 each. tickets have to be purchased in advance. details from 0208 207 1382
