Default Television versus George Formby
Does anyone know why there has been such a dearth of George Formby films on TV?
I've been trying to expand my pathetic collection (one film) and seem to be waiting in vain for transmission

C4 showed Formby films regularly well into the 90s but then stopped completely. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif[/img]

I have 12 currently, 10 from a couple of DD Video boxsets and 'Boots! Boots!' & 'Off the Dole' from Carlton Cinema.

So only ten of his films are currently available & it seems the're being cleared out. The two boxsets are available for just £22.49 each.
