This one was, Stevie - at the Hilton Metropole hotel on the NEC estate...

Memorabilia at the NEC (several times each year) draws a lot of guests together too.

Memorabilia : Homepage : Memorabilia Events, Collectors, Collectors' Items, Sporting memorabilia, Celebrity Signings, Star Wars Memorabilia, Film & TV Memorabilia, Pop memorabilia

If anybody's around at these events (as with meeting Aitch at Elstree the other weekend) I am always happy to say hello. I've met a few fellow Britmoviers now and they have all been very nice folks...

James Bond's Aston Martin.

It was being delivered and somehow slipped into the bottom of an Italian lake. It's been on CNN today.

Yeah, for the new film allright and supposed to be no replacement available. The road was slippy after rain and the driver lost control. Obviously, the engine is flooded (boom, boom!)

Apparently so. But on CNN they were saying the vintage car, hopefully not the DB7.

They used a DB7 in Casino Royale so it probably is.

I think a visit to CNN might give you some info on what car it was for sure but by all accounts the insurers were none too pleased. The way I heard it was that it was being lifted by a crane when the accident happened, but then you know those news agencies.

They should build it onto the plot so they can at least use the footage of it being retrieved! Maybe the pitch would be that it was 007 trying to fake his demise... What do you think Bats?
