Default British based wrestlers in/on film ?

I'm currently reading Simon Garfield's excellent "The Wrestling", a book about the post WWII British wrestling phenomenon (McManus, Pallo, Kellett, Street, etc). Can anyone name any films/tv shows that featured wrestlers ? I can only think of "Night & The City", there must be much more, no ?

Jackie Pallo also appeared as a wrestler in 'The Reckoning'.

There was Send in the girls (1978) with Annie Ross.

An episode "The Wild Bunch" featured among others Giant Haystacks,

Brian maxine & Kendo Nagasaki who took his mask off but from memory

it was a darkened room & you couldn't see much!

Famously, she mistimes a kick and knocked him out. As the show was recorded 'as live', this stayed in the finished episode. PM me if you need more details.

In A Kid for Two Farthings, Sonia (Diana Dors) wants to marry Sam (Joe Robinson) the body builder and wrestler. We see some of the wrestling bouts and there are two wrestlers in the cast list, Charlie Green & Ray Hunter. They don't have any other film credits so could they have been professional wrestlers?

Wasn't Jackie Pallo or one of the other great names in an episode of Are You Being Served? I seem to recollect he was to fight Mr Humphries since I recollect john Onman hopping around the ring and being chased by the wrestler and then along came Mrs Slocombe and did the necessary on his behalf? I am sure some of the other great names also appeared in some of the well known sitcoms but I cannot place the exact ones at present.

Yes. he was.

I vaguely recall Mick McManus being in some sort of 'hidden London' film in he 60s and Mrs Bat reminded me of this .....

"Send in the Girls" The Wild Bunch (1978)

..... Floella Benjamin and Kendo Nagasaki - the mind boggles!

If you follow the links you discover that Brian Maxine was in The Bill and that there is a gentleman who we have all forgotten .... Brian Glover, who used to wrestle as 'Leon Arras'.

Thank you all for responding. Anyone know the title of the Pallo v. Blackman Avengers episode ?

Note to Bats - Brian Glover is well featured in Simon Garfield's book, Wasn't he also in Porridge ?
