Default Career Girls

I was bought a DVD of Mike Leigh's Career Girls by someone who knew I was a fan. The critique on the back is absolutely rubbish and bears little relation to the film and did no justice to the brilliance of the late K Cartlidge. Is this third rate sloppiness commonplace?

Sadly, yes. My favourite example is the Carlton Silver Collection DVD of A Canterbury Tale which says on the cover that it stars Eric Portman, Sheila Sim, Dennis Price and Sergeant John Smith (US Army)

John Smith? It was John Sweet

If they can't even get details like that correct, what chance does any review or other description of the film have. You're probably lucky the critique was at least talking about the right film

Sally Brown and Wayne Naughton left the UK film industry following Obsession and became Evangelical Christians. They toured the world for years with their stage productions of spiritual plays.

Having pain is the worst thing in the whole world!
