Default The "Other" Van Der Valk
Anyone have any opinions on the film Amsterdam Affair - the first adaptation of Nicholas Freeling's Van Der Valk? Pre-dating Barry Foster by 4 years or so, Wolfgang Kieling as the famous Dutch tec.

I saw it on TV years ago. I remember it as being quite exciting and entertaining.

There was as I am sure you know another VDV - Frank Finlay in the 70s on I think German TV

That's right, he made a series of TV movies. I wonder if they have ever surface over here. Did Frank speak in German or was he dubbed?

I've never seen either "other" Van der Valk, so I was wondering how they compared to Barry Foster's interpretation (which was in itself quite a bit different from the books).
