William Hall R.I.P

The Times has an obituary today for William Hall who died 19 May aged 72. There must be many people who remember William Hall's film reviews in the London Evening News from 1959 until the paper closed down in 1980. I loved reading Mr Hall's reviews from the time he first started writing. His column was the first thing I turned to when it appeared each Thursday. I was surprised to find he was only 72 - it seems he was only 24 when he first started reviewing for the Evening News.
