It was called Walk a Crooked Path (1969) and the details are listed on the IMDb although nobody's reviewed it there 6 people have voted on it.

It's got a short plot synopsis at the All Movie Guide

I remember it because I was in it....briefly, I was a pupil at the school the film was shot at. I have been trying to get a copy of this film for a long time. It was actually shot in 1969, the year I joined the army and I remember it well. It also starred the then unknown Robert Powell.

The school also had Oliver Reed as one of it's pupils

So do I, and so does Marc Morris.

"Whatever happened to Fay Wray?"
