Default Sportspeople in British Films

Having recently watched One Jump Ahead 1954 which featured ex boxer

Freddie Mills, I wonder which other British sportspeople played serious roles in

British Films. Think of any??

Feddie Mills was also in Breakaway with Tom Conway. Haven't ex-boxers John Conteh and Gary Stretch also been in a few films between them? And of course there's Vinnie Jones.

I wish I had claws.

Members of the Arsenal and Brentford squads were featured in The Arsenal Stadium Mystery, together with George Allison. And aren't there some professional players in Anthony Asquith's The Lucky Number?

Brian Glover was a wrestler before his film and TV acting took off, his first film role was in "Kes". Pat Roach was also a wrestler come stuntman who's acting highlight was possibly in "Auf Wiedersehen Pet"
And there is also bodybuilder Dave Prowse famous for wearing the costume of Darth Vadar and even more famous as the Green Cross Code Man!

John Conteh was in Tank Malling with Terry Marsh and Terry Downes. Glenn Murphy was also an ABA champion.
