Default Beatles Help! Classification
I noticed the other day that the recent re-release of the film Help! has an E exempt from classification logo. The BBFC says "Under the Video Recordings Act 1984, a video is an exempted work if is designed to inform, educate or instruct; is concerned with sport, religion or music; or is a video game".

I'd understand if it was a concert film but Help! is a dramatic work previously awarded a U Certificate. Can anyone illuminate, are there other precendents?

That's got to be a mistkae as the BBFC have certified help for video release (though not since 1991). It's a fictional film not a documentary.

You could try asking the BBFC.

Had word back from the BBFC. They said that they hadn't noticed it before and would look into it.
